Residence Hall Administrative Specialist

The Residence Hall Administrative Specialist is responsible for working the front desk at one of the campus residence halls. The job duties for this position include maintaining student files, processing check-in/out paperwork, coordinating room consolidation, conducting key inventory and distributing student mail and packages. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years of prior experience in the secretarial field
  • Proficient level of competency and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, StarRez, WorkDay, and HogSync
  • At least one year of experience working in a young adult environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of record-keeping procedures
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Knowledge of basic grammar
  • Knowledge of computers and software applications
  • Ability to conduct research and compile data into report form
  • Ability to establish and maintain filing systems
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Additional Information:

Salary Information: $33,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
