A company is looking for a Research Economist specializing in prescription drug and healthcare data analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to quantitative research activities related to prescription policy and health services researchDesign and develop analytic data files by integrating various data sources, including Medicare claims and prescription drug dataConduct and supervise statistical analyses of large, complex datasets and present results effectively to diverse audiencesRequired QualificationsA Master's degree in health services research, health economics, health policy, or a related quantitative field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experienceExperience using prescription drug data and analyzing large healthcare datasets, particularly Medicare or Medicaid claimsProficiency in quantitative, financial, actuarial, and statistical analysis using tools like Python, SQL, R, SAS, and/or StataKnowledge of domestic health policy, especially Medicare Part D and other prescription drug policiesAbility to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
