Account Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Account Supervisor with a strong background in shopper marketing and agency account leadership. This role serves as the primary client contact, leading day-to-day communications, strategy, and execution across all shopper marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of marketing agency experience, including managing high-profile retail programs and delivering measurable business results. Experience with Walmart, Sam's Club, or other national retail accounts is highly preferred.

Client & Account Leadership

  • Act as the primary client contact and trusted advisor
  • Build and expand client relationships to drive incremental revenue
  • Lead client meetings, including visits to client headquarters
  • Ensure contract obligations are met or exceeded
  • Supervise and mentor Account Coordinators and Account Executives

Strategic Planning

  • Lead or support strategic planning and brainstorming sessions
  • Translate client objectives into actionable marketing strategies
  • Develop program recommendations aligned to sales goals and brand standards
  • Identify and leverage research to support marketing plans

Creative & Program Execution

  • Manage the creative development process from concept to approval
  • Present creative concepts to clients
  • Ensure work meets brand guidelines, communication priorities, and objectives
  • Oversee execution of all marketing programs, budgets, and timelines

Financial Oversight

  • Support Director/VP in managing account profitability
  • Ensure estimates, invoicing, and billing accuracy
  • Oversee account receivables and financial performance

Additional Expectations

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, retail field teams, and clients
  • Support special projects as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 4+ years agency experience in retail or consumer packaged goods preferred
  • Prior experience working with Walmart and/or Sam's Club
  • Research/analysis experience a plus

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

  • Familiarity with market research techniques, including syndicated data
  • Proven leadership, organization, and communications skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Self-starter with strong analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to effectively develop and communicate ideas, both oral and written
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
