Position Overview

Business Development Manager - Mass & Club – you will be the catalyst for Monster Energy's sales and distribution triumphs, aligning our brand portfolio with the company's high‑octane business objectives. Your role focuses on regional business analytics, ensuring data precision, and identifying opportunities to amplify efficiency with distributors, bottlers, and chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and interpretation of internal/external international market data, highlighting emerging trends to identify new market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase profitability.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of Nielsen and other third‑party data for trends and insights, and produce a monthly volume summary comparing sales by SKU, salesperson, and region against the previous year and budget.
  • Monitor unit activities against budgetary guidelines, track competitive activity by region, and consolidate results.
  • Generate comprehensive depletion/shipment/inventory analysis by country, update internal templates and calendars, and manage sales forecasts with country management teams.
  • Analyze each Monster and competitive SKU to determine trends and assess performance, recommending future opportunities.
  • Review monthly financial and sales reports to identify opportunities for improvements based on efficiency, consumer and customer demand, brand/item performance, and pricing.
  • Evaluate pricing of all items sold, analyzing competition, gross margin, and Price to Consumer.
  • Review all P&L elements and propose proactive measures, ideas, and reactive solutions.
  • Implement best practices, continuously improving a standardized process using alternative views such as analysis models, prototypes, or scenarios.
  • Determine scorecards for each region on a per country/bottler basis, monitor country objectives and project margins, and evaluate pricing adjustments.
  • Identify and propose new product technology or SKU opportunities and updates.
  • Support all functional department heads and departments to maximize output.

Qualifications

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in business analytics or business development.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, business management tools, and experience with Python is desirable.

Compensation

Estimated annual salary range: $71,280 – $95,040 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
