Summary of Job Duties:
A full time Program Technician position is available in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology within the Division of Agriculture at the University of Arkansas System. The selected candidate will provide technical and operational support to laboratory and greenhouse activities associated with the Arkansas Clean Plant Center.
Primary responsibilities include assisting with plant tissue culture activities, supporting plant health and maintenance of clean plant materials, and helping carry out routine diagnostic and laboratory procedures following established protocols. The Program Technician will work under supervision and assist senior staff with data collection, sample preparation, and maintenance of laboratory and greenhouse spaces.
This position is funded through the Arkansas Clean Plant Center. Continuation of employment from year to year is contingent upon satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
Anticipated start date: After June 1, 2026.
