Position Overview

Higgins Group is seeking dependable individuals to join our commercial construction crews installing metal stud framing, drywall systems, and suspended ceilings.

This role focuses on delivering quality craftsmanship while maintaining strong safety standards and meeting project timelines. Team members work closely with a foreman and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently and professionally.

Projects may take place at multiple commercial sites, and travel between job locations may occasionally be required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install metal stud framing systems and track
  • Hang and secure drywall on commercial wall and ceiling systems
  • Install suspended acoustic ceilings including T-bar grid systems
  • Interpret construction drawings, layouts, and ceiling plans
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately for installation
  • Work effectively within a crew environment to meet project deadlines
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and all jobsite safety procedures
  • Coordinate with other trades to maintain efficient workflow
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Communicate jobsite progress or issues with the crew foreman
  • Assist with unloading, staging materials, and site preparation
  • Travel to various commercial project locations when necessary
Requirements
  • Must supply and maintain basic hand tools
  • Physically capable of performing construction-related tasks
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds, and elevated platforms
  • Must successfully complete required drug and alcohol screening (UA/PCP)
  • Employment eligibility verified through E-Verify
  • Must follow all company and jobsite safety policies
