The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and related machinery to ensure operational readiness. This role follows all safety policies and recordkeeping requirements while maintaining an organized work area for safe access and movement. The mechanic dismantles and reassembles equipment to access problem areas, visually inspects and listens to machines to identify malfunctions, and reads schematics to guide repairs. Diagnostic software is used to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical issues common to heavy equipment and industrial systems. Welding, cutting, and fabrication are performed as needed to restore or improve equipment performance, and strong customer service is demonstrated through dependable, professional work.

A strong candidate brings hands-on experience working with heavy equipment and transferable skills from industrial, electro-mechanical, or diesel-powered environments. You understand hydraulic systems, braking systems, electrical components, drivelines and you are comfortable working across both mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with Tier IV emissions systems is a plus. Veterans with experience maintaining tactical vehicles, industrial machinery, or diesel systems will find this role well aligned with their training and experience.

Location: Brandenburg KY / Butler IN

Pay: $25-$45

Shift: 4 day rotating schedule. 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts (4 on 3 off in Butler)

401K: 3% match

PTO: 3 weeks vacation/(available after 6 months)

Bonus: Percentage based upon sight performance/ 8K Sign on for A techs
