Position Overview
Are you an experienced leader looking to make an impact in the utility installation industry? As a Pipe Foreperson, you will supervise and coordinate crews in the installation of pipe systems, supports, and fittings-ensuring project quality, safety, and efficiency every step of the way. This is a hands-on, pivotal role where your expertise and leadership will help shape the success of our projects and the development of your team.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, mentor, and guide crews of skilled and unskilled workers on job sites.
• Plan and schedule daily assignments, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Oversee trenching, shoring, and mainline pipe installation while maintaining top-quality standards.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints, charts, maps, and project plans.
• Conduct onsite inspections, troubleshoot project issues, and facilitate safety meetings.
• Operate and inspect heavy equipment safely; perform pre- and post-shift checks.
• Locate utilities and buried lines prior to excavation.
• Maintain detailed records including progress reports, safety logs, and time tickets.
• Assist with general labor tasks, job site clean-up, and minor equipment maintenance.
• Set up and move laser levels, tripods, and pipe lasers as needed.
• Ensure job site safety by setting up barricades, cones, and fencing.
• Travel between project sites as required.
Qualifications
• Extensive experience in utility installation, with strong knowledge of mainline pipe work, trenching, and shoring standards.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• One to two years of related experience or training; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, site specifications, and instructions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical fitness/agility test.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
