We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our client's Tool Room department in Fayetteville, AR. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a hands-on, precision-focused environment with a company that values quality craftsmanship and safety. This position reports directly to the Tool Room Supervisor and plays a vital role in supporting the production team by ensuring the creation, maintenance, and repair of complex tools and dies that are essential to manufacturing operations.

The Tool & Die Maker will be responsible for operating a variety of shop equipment including milling machines, lathes, precision grinders, CNC machinery, and more. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of shop mathematics (including trigonometry), be proficient in the use of gauges and precision measuring tools, and demonstrate the ability to machine parts to exact specifications in a timely manner. This role involves standing or walking for the entirety of the shift and lifting or handling tooling components up to 60 pounds.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision. The Tool & Die Maker will work independently as well as collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-precision machining using milling machines, lathes, CNC mills and lathes, surface grinders, jig grinders, and hand tools.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate, polish, and assemble dies and tooling components.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy and finish quality through effective use of measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing tools and dies as needed to support production operations.
  • Apply advanced shop mathematics, including trigonometry, to ensure accurate measurements and part fabrication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all company safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a certified trade school program in Tool & Die Making strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a tool and die role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate all standard tool room equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail.
