About Us
We are a design-driven housewares company creating innovative kitchenware, hydration, and everyday home products for top retailers and independent shops worldwide. Our team combines product innovation with data-driven retail insights to deliver meaningful solutions that improve category performance for our customers.
We value creativity, collaboration, and performance, and we strive to bring thoughtful, high-quality products to market while building strong retail partnerships.
The Role
We are seeking a Category Advisor to lead category strategy for the Walmart business by connecting data, customer behavior, and merchandising execution across both physical and digital channels. This role serves as a strategic partner to the merchant, with a clear mandate to improve category performance by shaping a seamless, intuitive, and compelling customer experience.
Success in this role requires moving beyond traditional shelf management to a broader view of merchandising as experience design. The Category Advisor must understand how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products across channels, and translate those behaviors into actionable category strategies that drive both conversion and long-term growth.
Core Mission
The Category Advisor is responsible for delivering a category experience that feels effortless, intuitive, connected, and relevant. This means ensuring that customers can shop the category easily within seconds, that assortments reflect how customers think rather than how organizations are structured, and that the experience is consistent whether the customer is shopping online, in-store, or across both.
Scope of Responsibility
This role owns the development of category insights and performance strategy, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence merchant decisions. The Category Advisor is expected to deeply understand the customer journey, identifying friction points and opportunities to improve how the category is shopped, not just how it performs.
The role is also responsible for shaping modular and assortment strategies by evaluating item productivity, space allocation, and assortment balance. This includes ensuring that the shelf is designed in a way that aligns with customer expectations and shopping behavior, while also reflecting insights from digital performance and search behavior.
A critical component of the role is category storytelling. The Category Advisor must be able to synthesize data into compelling narratives that connect performance, customer behavior, and strategic recommendations in a way that is clear, persuasive, and actionable for Walmart merchants.
How This Role Thinks
This role begins with the customer, not the product. It requires a naturally curious mindset, where the focus is on understanding why trends are happening rather than simply reporting what is happening. The Category Advisor is expected to ask better questions before offering solutions, using both data and observation to uncover deeper insights.
The role also requires a digital-first perspective. Merchandising decisions should reflect how customers browse, search, and evaluate products online, recognizing that the modern customer journey is fluid and often spans multiple channels. The Category Advisor must ensure that category strategies are aligned across digital and physical environments, creating a consistent and frictionless experience.
Capabilities & Experience
The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical foundation, with experience using tools such as Walmart Scintilla, Circana or NielsenIQ, and data visualization platforms. They have a deep understanding of retail drivers and shopper behavior, along with experience in modular planning tools such as JDA or Blue Yonder.
Equally important is the ability to communicate at a high level. This role requires translating complex analysis into clear insights and recommendations, delivered through well-structured presentations that influence decision-making. The ability to connect data to a broader strategic narrative is essential.
The most successful candidates will demonstrate a balance of curiosity, strategic thinking, and practical execution. They will be comfortable operating in a fast-evolving retail environment and will have a forward-looking perspective on how customers will shop in 2026 and beyond.
What Sets This Role Apart
This is not a reporting role; it is an advisory role. The Category Advisor is expected to influence without authority, build trust with merchants, and consistently bring forward insights that improve both performance and customer experience." under the Role.
