Job Description

Scott Petroleum is seeking an experienced Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have prior grill experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing excellent service to customers. This is a full-time position with 30+ hours per week, with availability required from Monday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Grill Cooking:
  • Prepare and cook food items on the grill according to established recipes and customer preferences, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Dependability:
  • Arrive to work on time and as scheduled, maintaining a consistent attendance record.
• High-Pressure Handling:
  • Thrive in a busy kitchen environment, managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining a high level of efficiency and composure.
• Self-Starter:
  • Anticipate the needs of the kitchen and take proactive steps to ensure smooth operations. Address issues before they become problems and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Team Player:
  • Collaborate with staff to support the needs of customers and the team. Stay focused on kitchen tasks, and conduct yourself in a respectful and professional manner with peers, customers, and the company.
• Take Direction:
  • Follow instructions from the kitchen manager, showing a willingness to learn and adapt to the kitchen's procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working as a grill cook.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Arrive to work as scheduled, with a commitment to being punctual and consistent in attendance.
• Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
