Our staffing agency is currently hiring a Sample Maker for one of our customers in the Bentonville, Arkansas area. This is a hands-on, creative, and detail-oriented role ideal for someone who enjoys working with packaging samples, digital equipment, andprecision tools. The Sample Maker plays a key role in supporting product development, testing, and customer approvals by producing high-quality samples used for evaluation, shipping, and presentation purposes.

The Sample Maker is responsible for operating digital printing equipment and an Elitron cutting table to create a wide variety of packaging samples. These samples may be used for internal testing, ISTA testing, customer review, or shipping validation. The Sample Maker will also create shippers and packaging components as needed to support sample production and testing requirements. Accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate digital printers and Elitron sample cutting tables to produce packaging samples
  • Create samples for testing, shipping validation, and customer approval
  • Conduct ISTA testing and prepare detailed test reports
  • Produce RSCs, FOLs, DSTs, and other packaging styles using CAD/CAM tables
  • Cut multiple production runs of die cuts as required
  • Prepare and assemble samples for packaging and product testing
  • Create instruction sheets and documentation for samples
  • Load stock materials onto design racks and maintain material organization
  • Submit supply orders for approval and track inventory needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Pick up and deliver materials as needed
  • Perform basic math and geometric calculations related to sizing, scaling, and layouts
  • Support additional projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Some experience in packaging design or a related creative or technical field
  • Experience in drafting, graphic arts, or packaging is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
  • Ability to work extended or evening hours as required to meet project deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
