The Warehouse Inventory Specialist of Watco Logistics is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the warehouse. This position plays a crucial role in monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and ensuring that all inventory-related processes are executed. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels
Ensure stock is available to meet operational needs
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy in inventory records
Update inventory management systems with accurate data regarding stock levels, locations, and movements
Enter inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS) and maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions
Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
Work closely with warehouse staff, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and address any inventory-related issues
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status, shortages, and overages
Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory management and contribute to the development of best practices
Assist in the implementation of new inventory management technologies and systems
Collaborate with warehouse team to deliver cost efficiency and high levels of service
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
High School Education or a GED is required
Associate's degree in Logistics preferred
Related work experience inventory management, warehouse operations, or related field preferred
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and inventory tracking software
Apply knowledge of communication, conflict resolution, time management, and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software
Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
Ability to work with others and be a positive influence on co-workers
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions and regular high noise level. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment
