St Pierre is a premium, French-inspired, brioche-focused bakery brand that makes 'Everyday Moments Magnifique' and has experienced rapid growth over the last 5 years across 2 geographies: USA & UK.

Grupo Bimbo is the world's largest bakery, operating across 34 geographies worldwide. In October 2022, Grupo Bimbo acquired St Pierre with a vision to expand across global geographies.

The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing our current Customer business in the USA. This is a key strategic role for the business, where the Director will build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and wider functions to facilitate smooth operations. The role involves cultivating partnerships, developing Joint Business Plans for the Brand, and driving a high growth agenda, while reporting monthly against key performance indicators and financial targets.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, ensuring optimum service levels across forecasting/demand planning and category-led ranging recommendations, working cross-functionally with our Global HQ (Manchester, UK) and Bimbo Bakeries USA (Bakehouse), as well as our Grupo Bimbo USA partners.

This role is suited for a self-motivated, results-driven individual with demonstrable FMCG/CPG experience managing high growth or challenger brands.

Salary Range: $118,400 - $165,700

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations and account management of Customer, including sales strategy, forecasting, financial reporting, and supply chain management.
  2. Manage the customer P&L and drive growth of the St Pierre brand by building long-term strategic partnerships (JBPs) to influence line reviews and increase our portfolio/distribution.
  3. Oversee Customer engagement to facilitate and implement brand activation strategies that showcase our challenger brand mindset.
  4. Develop and secure promotional activities using pricing tools and modeling to maximize trade promotions and drive account growth.
  5. Lead and coordinate all aspects of RFP submissions (Private Label).
  6. Effectively communicate strategic plans internally and externally to stakeholders.
  7. Contribute to the annual budgeting process to generate topline commercial brand plans.
  8. Leverage industry insights and analytics to identify market gaps and develop new programs.
  9. Utilize Retail Link and other Walmart systems; analyze category data (Circana) to develop trade selling decks.

  • Strategic, analytical thinker able to translate data and insights into sales proposals.
  • Experienced in customer negotiations and overcoming challenges.
  • Excellent networking skills to manage internal stakeholders across Grupo Bimbo and St Pierre global offices.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or related field.
  • Demonstrated competency through education, training, and experience.
  • Experience driving premium, challenger, or high-growth brands.
  • 8+ years in consumer product retail food sales, preferably with perishables.
  • Experience managing Customers and reporting via Customer Systems.
  • Proficiency in IT, Office 365.
  • Experience analyzing category data and insights (beneficial: Circana).
  • Proven sales results with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Based in Bentonville, with ability to travel across US, Mexico, and to Global HQ in Manchester, UK.
