Their primary focus is to provide excellent quality fencing that meets the needs of customers in Northwest Arkansas. Our services include installing all kinds of residential and commercial fencing.

Salary: 90,000-110,000

Schedule:

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Job Summary: Thomas Fence seeks a visionary and results-driven General Manager to oversee and lead all aspects of the company's operations. The General Manager will ensure excellence in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance by implementing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and driving the company toward sustained growth and success. Our results are driven by team collaboration and mutual respect.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan in alignment with the CEO's vision and goals.
    • Provide leadership to all departments, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement to enhance market competitiveness.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily cross divisional operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
    • Monitor and optimize operational workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Ensure effective resource allocation, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
    • Establish best practices and key performance indicators (KPI) to propel the company forward.
  3. Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring profitability and financial health.
    • Analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  4. Customer & Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with all clients, ensuring high satisfaction and trust.
    • Represent Thomas Fence in negotiations, partnerships, and industry events.
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  5. Team Development:
    • Recruit, train, and retain top talent across all departments.
    • Mentor and develop leadership team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Promote professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  6. Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
    • Regularly review and update operational procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
    • Promote a safe and respectful work environment across all job sites and facilities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction management.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, HR, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and desire to interact in a highly collaborative and team-oriented working environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or advanced leadership training is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role in the skilled trades industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP systems, and project management tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit job sites and facilities, including outdoor environments.
  • Comfortable working extended hours during peak business periods.
