Position Title: Store Clerk/Sorter
Position Type: Regular Part Time
Pay Range: $10.10 - $15.15/per hour
About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for
Key responsibilities:
•Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customer's questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register.
•Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
What we are looking for in you:
•High School diploma or GED and experience working in a retail store preferred.
•OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
Ability to perform mathematical computations and count change.
Ability to perform frequent waling and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light objects (less than 25 pounds)
Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and waling on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
Ability to operate a cash register.
Work is performed in a normal store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like
